Lesotho-based technology and creative solutions company MESTECH has completed the design and development of The Pageant Compass, a publication by Lesotho’s top pageant queen and now author Mojabeng Senekal Ndebele. MESTECH was responsible for the publication’s overall design, transforming the original manuscript into a professionally structured book through layout development, typography, visual composition and the creation of a consistent design language across the publication. 

The project required the team to balance the author’s personal brand and creative vision with the practical requirements of publication design, including readability, visual hierarchy and consistency. Rather than approaching the assignment as a simple page-layout exercise, the design process focused on how readers would experience the publication as a whole. Typography, spacing, page structures and visual elements were developed to support the content while giving the book a distinct and professional identity. 

The completed publication demonstrates the increasingly important role of design in how information, ideas and personal brands are presented to audiences.
